Vince DeBlasi was selected by West Newsmagazine as the 2023 Excellence in Education Teacher of the Year.  He just finished his 17^th year of teaching at Lafayette High School, where he taught sociology, economics and personal finance, Civil War and world history. A Congregation Shaare Emeth congregant, DeBlasi was recognized by colleagues, administrators, parents and mostly by his students for making a positive impact on their lives.
