StilL 630 Distillery has once again claimed top honors on the national stage. The St. Louis-based distillery was crowned Best Craft Whiskey in the U.S. by the American Craft Spirits Association—marking the third time owners Sidni and David Weglarz have received this prestigious award.
The husband-and-wife team, who are members of Congregation Temple Israel, have spent over a decade elevating their spirits to national acclaim. David, a former adventure guide turned “mad scientist” distiller, founded StilL 630 in 2011 with a commitment to crafting bold, complex, small-batch spirits. As early as 2015, he introduced the Rare Release Barrel Series, showcasing limited-edition, experimental batches from his downtown St. Louis distillery—each carefully nurtured and unfiltered to preserve full flavor integrity.
This isn’t the couple’s first major accolade. In 2023, their Confluence American Gin was named Best Craft Gin in the U.S. by the American Distilling Institute, besting over 850 entries from 23 countries. David also serves as president of the Missouri Craft Distillers Guild, underscoring his leadership in the broader craft spirits community.
