Joel Schwartz will receive the Silver Beaver Award from the St. Louis Greater St. Louis Area Scouting during the 2026 Council Annual Volunteer Recognition Event.
This is the highest recognition a scout council can bestow on an adult volunteer leader, recognizing their exceptional character and dedicated service to scouting youth.
Schwartz has been involved in scouting since he was a youth and has served as a scout leader for 20+ years, with positions in Troop 11 chartered out of Kol Rinah, where he is a member.
This is the only Jewish affiliated troop in the St. Louis area.
