Harvey Greenstein received the inaugural Ed Balk Award at the recent Congregation B’nai Amoona board installation.
The award recognizes individuals who support and foster the vision of B’nai Amoona through acts of torah, avodah and gemilut chasadim. He received a set of cufflinks with the image of B’nai Amoona’s Erich Mendelson building engraved on them.
The cufflinks belonged to Rabbi Bernard Lipnick, who gave them to Balk just days before he passed away in 2010. Balk’s family believed that he would have wanted Greenstein to have them.
