
Former St. Louisan Alex Abramson won a 2025 Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award.
It was presented by the National Science Foundation (NSF) of the United States Federal Government to support early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in their organization’s mission.
Abramson received a $500,000 federal grant over five years to continue engineering his team’s artificial nervous system for bioelectronic therapeutics.
He is an assistant professor in Georgia Tech School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
