Alice Ludmer is among 10 local leaders to be honored as the 2025 Women of Achievement (Volunteer Leadership) at the 70th Anniversary Luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton on May 13.
A biography on the Women of Achievement website noted, “For over 40 years she has served on a variety of St. Louis Charitable organization boards, donating thousands of volunteer hours in a marketing, public relations, and organizational capacity. Through her volunteer efforts she has personally helped to raise significant funds and awareness for numerous local organizations involved with such critical issues as child abuse, independent living for the aged and challenged youth, and the importance of the arts.”
In addition, the biography continued, “For the past 20 years, Alice has been the steadfast volunteer leader of the Jewish Community Center’s Adult Day and Inclusion Program. Under her leadership, ‘Adult Day at the J’ (ADJ) has become an award-winning program, earning the Missouri Adult Day Service Association Award for Excellence in Innovation. The Inclusion Program serves young adults with developmental disabilities who require ongoing support to develop skills for independence and pre-employment. The ADJ program provides services and support for senior and young adults.”
In 2019, Ludmer was selected as one of the St. Louis Jewish Light’s Unsung Heroes.
