Vandals target Jewish-Arab coexistence village

(JTA) — Vandals damaged property and defaced a village near Jerusalem that has served for decades as a model for Jewish-Arab coexistence.
Graffiti saying “Death to Arabs” and “Revenge for Gilad Farm” and “Revenge for Ulpana” was discovered Friday morning on buildings in Neveh Shalom, in the hills outside Jerusalem, and tires were slashed.
Gilad Farm and Ulpana are illegal West Bank settlement outposts slated by the government to be dismantled.
Neveh Shalom was established in the 1970s to show that Jews and Arabs could coexist and live integrated lives.
Police said they were investigating.
