Tires of 34 cars slashed in Arab neighborhood of E. Jerusalem

JERUSALEM (JTA) — The tires of 34 cars were slashed in an Arab neighborhood of eastern Jerusalem.

The message “Goyim (Gentiles) in the land = enemies” was spray painted on a bus parked nearby.

The vandalism took place sometime on Sunday night in the Beit Hanina neighborhood located in northern Jerusalem east of the security fence.

Police are investigating the attack.

There have been several attacks on Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem, as well as one in central Israel, in recent months.

Those incidents were referred to as price tag attacks, the strategy adopted by extremist settlers and their supporters to exact retribution for settlement freezes and demolitions or Palestinian attacks on Jews.
