JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel Police reportedly arrested three teenage girls for vandalizing graves in a Muslim cemetery in Jerusalem.

The girls on Tuesday night reportedly etched the words “Price Tag” on gravestones at the cemetery located just outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

They also reportedly spelled out the words on gravestones with rocks and sand, and spray painted the epithet in the cemetery.

“Price tag” refers to the strategy adopted by extremist settlers and their supporters generally to exact retribution for settlement freezes and demolitions or Palestinian attacks on Jews.

The girls reportedly refused to cooperate with police during the investigation and were set to appear in court on Wednesday.
