Three Israeli soldiers hurt in Golan Heights bombing

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Three Israeli soldiers patrolling the border with Syria were injured when a roadside bomb was detonated next to their jeep.

The attack took place on Tuesday afternoon near the Druze village of Majdal Shams on the Golan Heights. The bomb was planted near the border fence.

The patrol reportedly also came under light fire. The Israeli military returned fire into Syrian territory, according to Israeli media reports.

On Friday, a bomb was detonated near an Israeli military patrol near the border with Lebanon.
