Tel Aviv to offer free Wi-Fi

JEURSALEM (JTA) — The city of Tel Aviv is set to offer free Wi-Fi to its residents and guests.

The project will provide free high-speed internet connection throughout the city as well as technical support 24/7, Haaretz reported.

The project reportedly will cost the city some $1.6 million.

The connection will be installed in about 80 stations throughout the city in stages during 2013, including public parks and the Promenade.

Each station will provide bandwidth of at least 20 megabytes, according to the municipality
