(JTA) — A teacher at a Seattle Jewish day school has been charged with child molestation.
The first and second grade teacher at the Torah Day School in Seattle, identified as Jordan Murray, reportedly molested two female students behind his desk, in front of other students. He is alleged to have groped them after putting them on his lap, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported.
Murray is charged with four counts of child molestation; he is currently free on bail. An arraignment hearing is set for May 20.
The incidents reportedly occurred late last month. Murray was fired after the incidents.
The students called Murray Rabbi Yaakov, using rabbi as an honorific title.
Murray, 32, is a father of three children; he reportedly does not have a criminal record.
