JERUSALEM (JTA) — A rocket fired from Gaza landed in an open area in southern Israel.
No warning sirens were sounded since it was not heading for a populated area, according to reports.
Security forces were searching for the rocket’s remains after it hit on Monday morning, according to the Israel Defense Forces spokesman.
The rocket attack came a week after another rocket fired from Gaza landed near the border with Israel. Israel’s Air Force retaliated, hitting what the Israeli military called two terror targets in Gaza.
