The Anti-Defamation League has raised its reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for throwing firebombs into a New Jersey synagogue.

The reward has increased three-fold to $7,500 for information about those responsible for the five firebombs thrown at Congregation Beth El in Rutherford, which injured the rabbi, as well as attacks on synagogues in  Paramus, Maywood and Hackensack. Police are unsure if the attacks are related.

New Jersey federal officials pledged to support the investigation; the ADL called for increased security and patrols around synagogues, schools, and other Jewish institutions in the state.

One dozen local religious institutions held an interfaith service at Beth El on Saturday.
