Peres to answer questions from Jews around the world at Federations’ assembly

(JTA) — Israeli President Shimon Peres will answer questions from Jews around the world during an appearance at the General Assembly of The Jewish Federations of North America.
Peres will be interviewed on stage at the Nov. 10-12 event in Jerusalem. During the interview, which will be live-streamed online, JFNA will select a number of crowd-sourced questions submitted through an app on his Facebook page launched especially for the General Assembly. Questions can be submitted through Oct. 31.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to be among the 140 speakers at the General Assembly, along with Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, government ministers Naftali Bennett, Yair Lapid and Gideon Sa’ar, and opposition leader Shelley Yacimovich.
More than 2,000 Jewish leaders from North America and Israel are expected to attend the assembly, which is celebrating Israel’s 65 birthday.
