Palestinian teen arrested for planning West Bank terror attack

JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Palestinian teen arrested by Israeli security forces at a West Bank traffic junction said he planned to carry out a terror attack.

The would-be terrorist was arrested Wednesday after reaching for a concealed knife at the Tapuach Junction; he also had a gun in his possession, Yediot Acharonot reported.

In April, a Palestinian man stabbed Eviatar Borovsky, an Israeli father of five from the Itamar settlement, to death as he waited for a ride at the same traffic junction.

In January, a Palestinian man from Ramallah stabbed in the stomach a Jewish teenager who was waiting at Tapuach Junction, saying he did it because the teen was Jewish. Three Palestinians were arrested that same week at the junction carrying seven bombs and a knife; they told police they had planned to carry out a terror attack at the junction.
