TEL AVIV (JTA) — Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian man and wounded another in a gunfire exchange in the West Bank.

Israel Defense Foreces troops were arresting a suspect in the Qalandiya refugee camp near Jerusalem Tuesday morning when they were fired upon, according to Israeli reports. The soldiers responded with fire. A man then threw an explosive device at the soldiers, and they fired back, killing him.

The killed Palestinian was named Mahmoud Adwan, according to reports. No soldiers were injured in the clash.

Qalandiya has been the site of previous shootings. In 2013, Israeli soldiers killed three Palestinians after coming under attack there. Two Palestinians were killed in clashes at a riot in Qalandiya last July.
