One less former kibbutz volunteer in Congress

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), who for a blip was the favorite for the GOP presidential nod, says she won’t run again next year for Congress.

Bachmann, notably, volunteered as a young woman at Kibbutz Beeri (and was a charming guest, at least going by the note she sent to a younger friend on the kibbutz).

She’s not alone in that distinction. Rep. Susan Davis (D-Calif.) did kibbutz time on Degania Bet.

Are there others I’m not aware of? Tweet me @kampeas if so.
