SYDNEY (JTA) — A Melbourne rabbi videoed an anti-Semitic attack launched by the male passenger of a car stopped alongside his vehicle on a highway in south-east Melbourne.

The attacker had seen the rabbi checking his phone at a red light on Monday night.

The rabbi declined to be named by local media. He used his phone to video the attack.

During the attack, the man screamed: “Would you like me to get out and show you what Hitler did?” and “You should have died in the Auschwitz.”

The rabbi told Jwire that the man also said he was a “dirty Jew” and “Hitler should have killed you all.”

The woman driver, who waved and smiled while the rabbi was filming the incident, made an obscene gesture as she drove off.
