J Street opening night: Dror Moreh, Jeremy Ben-Ami, Tzipi Livni and John Lewis

J Street, the dovish Israel policy group focused on pushing for a two-state solution, kicked off its fourth national conference tonight at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.. Featured speakers included Dror Moreh, director of the Oscar-nominated documentary “The Gatekeepers”; J Street’s president, Jeremy Ben-Ami;  Israel’s justice minister, Tzipi Livni; and civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.).

JTA’s Washington Bureau chief, Ron Kampeas, has been tweeting the conference. (He also wrote a curtain-raiser on the conference last week.)
