Israeli mobile game publisher purchases American developer

JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli mobile game publisher has acquired a Las Vegas-based kids’ mobile game developer.

TabTale, headquartered in Tel Aviv, a top 10 worldwide mobile game publisher, announced Sunday that it has purchased  Sunstorm Games, a Las Vegas-based childrens’ mobile game developer, with more than 100 games released to date. It is the Israeli company’s first American acquisition and its third foreign acquisition this year.

No purchase price was disclosed.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Tel Aviv, TabTale has 230 employees and operations in Israel, U.S., China, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Ukraine. It has more than 350 applications, 40 million monthly active users and 600 million downloads worldwide.
