Israeli-Arab woman stabs one in central Israel

JERUSALEM (JTA) — An Israeli woman in her 30s was stabbed by an Israeli-Arab woman in a central Israeli city.

The attack took place early Sunday afternoon in Rosh Haayin, located east of Tel Aviv.

The assailant has been identified by Israel police as a 23-year-old woman from Kfar Kassam, an Israeli-Arab city located about 20 miles east of Tel Aviv in central Israel.  The stabber  carried one knife in her hand and had another in her purse.  She was disarmed without firepower and was being questioned by police.

Police told the Palestinian Maan news agency that the incident is being investigated as a terror attack.

The victim, who was stabbed in the arm, was taken to a hospital in central Israel where she is listed in stable condition.
