JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli security forces have arrested three members of a terror cell linked to the Islamic State in Hebron.

The cell members were arrested in November 2014 by the Shin Bet, the security service released Sunday for publication.

It is the first known Palestinian cell discovered to be linked to ISIS.

The cell planned to kidnap and kill both Israeli soldiers and civilians in the West Bank, and attempted to detonate a bomb against Israeli soldiers, an attack which failed.

The three arrested Palestinian men, all in their 20s, admitted to the plots during interrogation.
