IDF shoots two terrorists at Lebanese border

(JTA) — The Israel Defense Forces shot at two Hezbollah operatives attempting to plant a bomb at the Israel-Lebanon border.

No Israelis were injured in the operation, which took place Wednesday. The IDF identified the operatives planting the bomb as members of Hezbollah, the Shiite terrorist group and Lebanese political party, according to reports.

The attempted bombing follows an alleged Israeli bombing last week of a Hezbollah facility on the Lebanon-Syria border. Hezbollah blamed the attack on Israel, though Israel has not commented on the allegations.

According to the Times of Israel, Hezbollah was also responsible for two Katyusha rockets that hit open areas in the Golan Heights Saturday. No Israelis were injured in that attack.
