JERUSALEM (JTA) — The Israel Defense Forces demolished the home of the Palestinian terrorist who killed an American college student during a March stabbing attack in Jaffa.

The demolition of the family home in conjunction with the Civil Administration and the Border Police, took place Monday evening in the West Bank village of Kfar Haja, near Nablus. The terrorist, Bashar Massalha, 22, was killed by police after a stabbing rampage in which he also injured 10.  He reportedly was killed by a police volunteer while lying on the ground after being captured. The army is investigating the incident.

Taylor Force, a student at the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management, who was on a school trip to Israel , was killed in the attack.

Force was a U.S. army veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He graduated from West Point Military Academy in 2009 and served as a field artillery officer from 2009-2014 at Fort Hood.

The attack occurred near the site where the wife and grandchildren of visiting U.S. Vice President Joe Biden were having dinner on the Tel Aviv beach.

Members of the U.S. military serving in the area, a former West Point classmate who made aliyah and former Knesset member Dov Lipman attended a memorial service for Force at Ben Gurion airport before his body was repatriated to the United States, three days after the attack.
