Hezbollah boss threatens ‘10s of thousands’ dead if Israel strikes Iran

(JTA) — Hezbollah’s leader threatened tens of thousands of Israeli deaths should Israel strike Iran.

Hassan Nasrallah, the terrorist group’s secretary general, said in an address Friday opposing Israel’s presence in Jerusalem that “precision rockets” held by Hezbollah.

A Hezbollah attack on Israel triggered by an Israeli strike on Iran would turn “the lives of hundreds of thousands of Zionists to real hell, and we can talk about tens of thousands of dead,” news agencies reported.

Hezbollah, an ally of Iran, has massively rearmed since its 2006 war with Israel.

Tensions are intensifying between Israel and Iran, as Israeli leaders now talk openly about the prospect of a strike to keep Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
