Earthquake shakes Israel

JERUSALEM (JTA) — A moderate earthquake shook Israel.
The 5.3 magnitude earthquake, which originated near Cyprus, was felt Friday night from Beersheba to Haifa.
Hundreds of Israelis called police following the temblor.
The last earthquake felt in Israel was a 3.8 temblor in December; a 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck Israel in April 2011.
