JERUSALEM (JTA) — A bus exploded in Tel Aviv in what police believe was a terrorist attack.
At least 15 people were injured in the blast, according to initial reports.
The bus exploded in the heart of Tel Aviv, near the central army base called the Kirya. The location was also next to the Sourasky Medical Center – Ichilov Hospital, where the injured were taken.
A passenger on the bus told Ynet that someone blew up inside the bus. Other eyewitnesses told Haaretz that they saw someone plant a bomb near the bus and run away.
The alleged attack occurs on the eighth day of Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense with Gaza.
