JERUSALEM (JTA) — At least seven people were killed and dozens injured in a collision involving a bus, tractor and private car in the Negev.

The accident which occurred on Tuesday afternoon was declared a mass casualty event, mobilizing all medical teams in the area and more than a dozen fire-fighting teams.

The bus reportedly was filled with passengers at the time of the accident. Some injured reportedly remained trapped in the bus following the accident.

Helicopters also were sent to the site to evacuate injured bus passengers.
