(JTA) — An official with an Arab-American group in Chicago was found guilty of covering up her conviction in Israel for bombing attacks when she entered the United States.

Lawyers for Rasmieh Odeh, an associate director at the Arab American Action Network, said they would appeal Monday’s conviction by a Detroit jury for lying on immigration documents. Odeh had checked “no”on her immigration forms when asked whether she had ever been convicted of a crime.

Odeh, a former Michigan resident, faces up to 10 years in prison on the federal charges, according to the Detroit Free Press.

An Israeli military court convicted Odeh for her involvement in two bombings, one of which killed two at a SuperSol store in Jerusalem.

Odeh, also known as Rasmea Yousef, was released from prison after 10 years in a swap between Israel and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
