(JTA) — An anti-Semitic photo and caption were posted to the private Facebook page of the freshman class at a suburban New York high school.

The post to the page of the freshman class of Great Neck South High School on Long Island was made on Friday, the NBC affiliate in New York reported. In the photo, a Hitler mustache is drawn on one student, who is wearing an armband with a swastika. The caption reads: “I’d rather be gassing Jews right now.”

Many members of the class are Jewish, according to NBC.

The photo reportedly was removed on Sunday. The page reportedly is private, established by students in the class and not by the school.

The student who posted the photo does not attend the high school, according to the report. The student’s school has been notified and the student will be punished, school officials said.
