At Congregation Temple Israel’s 131st Annual Meeting held in December, the congregation welcomed a new board president, Robert D. Litz, and recognized several lay leaders, staff and volunteers. Three individuals were recognized with the congregation’s Pillar of the Temple Award from left: Josh Fingerman, Erin Wolfman May and Carla Freiman Feuer. The award recognizes those who have gone above and beyond in their role and have exhibited profound leadership and dedication to the mission of Temple Israel in the recent past. Rabbi Emeritus Mark L. Shook received the President’s Award for Continuing Excellence (P.A.C.E.) Award, given to those with a longstanding history of serving the congregation in multiple leadership capacities.
