What does Thanksgiving mean to you and what are your favorite traditions?

This Thanksgiving, I look forward to seeing my out-of-town family. Every year, my family comes in and we don’t usually do anything that exciting; we just sit around and talk. But, I would say that Thanksgiving is the main holiday that relatives come in, with all of my cousins. In addition to this, I’m looking forward to the Thanksgiving feast and watching football.”

Thanksgiving is so important to me because I get to be with my whole family. We do different events with each side of the family and have a big Thanksgiving dinner all together. I love waking up on Thanksgiving morning and decorating Hanukkah houses with my sister and cousins.”

My favorite Thanksgiving traditions are going ice skating with my family, watching the football game with my dad and eating apple pie. Although the holiday can sometimes be stressful, as my entire family comes in town and stays at my house, the chorus of laughter and teasing truly evokes the Thanksgiving spirit in me. Whether it be playing Cards Against Humanity, yelling at the TV during the football game, or simply eating our feast, my family always brings out the best in me when I am with them all.”

I’m looking forward to seeing my little cousins and eating a nice meal with my family. I don’t get to see my cousins very much so when I do it’s always fun. They look up to me and my brothers so whenever our family gets together, we all love to hang out.”
