Goodbye to Ohr Chadash Seniors

Since its birth in 2008, Madison Ginsberg has been a staff member for Ohr Chadash. Originally a writer and webmaster, she moved on to become a managing editor the following year and now presides as one of the editors-in-chief. Madison has thoroughly enjoyed working for the teen page for the past three years and is grateful she had the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful experiment. Although she will miss journalism, Madison will be attending Northwestern University in the fall to study film production. She would also like to thank Ohr Chadash co-chairs Mimi Pultman and Jenny Wolkowitz for their support in the teen page’s development.

Abby Abrams joined Ohr Chadash two years ago as a managing editor and then became one of the editors-in-chief this past year. She quickly realized that working on the teen page staff was not only a lot of fun, but also a fantastic learning opportunity. She has gained lots of journalistic experience and has really enjoyed working with the whole teen page staff in addition to co-chairs Mimi Poltman and Jenny Wolkowitz. Next year she will be attending Barnard College, and looks forward to using everything she’s learned in her work with Ohr Chadash in a larger university environment.

Melanie Cytron has been an Ohr Chadash staffer for three years and a managing editor for one year. Over the past year, she has enjoyed providing advice through ‘Dear Melanie’ and hopes that her guidance has been helpful to others. Next year, Melanie will be attending Brandeis University and studying education.

Akriti Panthi has been on the staff for Ohr Chadash for three years. In that time, she has written articles, worked on graphics and created the spreads for some of the issues. She will be attending Truman State University next year and she hopes that it will be just like Hogwarts – “magical.”

Oliver Kodner has worked on Ohr Chadash for three years now. He originally started making simple graphics for stories in his first year, but then began adding and manipulating the theme of the masthead each month. In his third year, Oliver took on the leadership role for all graphics in the teen page. Oliver plans to continue designing graphics on the side as he studies music at Loyola University New Orleans this fall.
