Sukkah City STL Co-Chair Penny Alper (left) talks with Ashlie Latiolais, an assistant professor at University of Louisiana at Lafayette on Monday, Oct. 6 at Washington University. Latiolais’ sukkah design was one of 10 selected in the Sukkah City STL competition held by St. Louis Hillel and Washington University. Teams built their sukkot on the quadrangle just west of the university’s Olin Library. The designs are on display through Oct. 12.
