LOOKING BACK • Sandy Rudman and Marsha Kunin from United Hebrew Congregation help Harvey Ferdman of Kol Am load clothes for the St. Louis Jewish Social Action Network in 1990. The network, which consisted of 14 area temples, synagogues and organizations that year, collected more than four tons of warm clothes to help the local needy. Three truckloads with more than 6,000 items were delivered to the George Washington Carver House and Grace Hill Settlement House for homeless women and children.
