LOOKING BACK • President Ford greets B’nai B’rith Women outgoing President Helen Smith of Austin, Texas, at a White house reception in 1975 for 1,000 delegates who attended the organization’s biennial convention in Washington, D.C.  Ford told the group that he considered it important to provide assistance and support to Israel.  Susan Ford (in background) and Happy Rockefeller accepted a set of three bicentennial dolls, a gift to the American people from the BBW “Dolls for Democracy” collection.
