Working to complete the legacy of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr, the national Poor Peoples Campaign was launched in scheduled rallies held in 40 state capitals. Each week of the 40-day campaign will focus on different issues related to economic and social justice. Rabbi Doug Alpert (pictured) of Congregation Kol Ami in Kansas City spoke at the Jefferson City rally, which brought together representatives from St Louis, Kansas City and Columbia.
