A new children’s book, “Leo and the New Baby Challenge,” explores the joys and challenges of becoming a big brother.
Written by Mariel Brechner and her sister, Jacqueline Brechner Vaisman, and illustrated by Joe Rohlman, the book follows Leo as he adjusts to his new role, from feeling jealous of the attention his baby brother gets to learning how to be a good role model.
The book is intended for parents and older siblings to read together after a new baby arrives. Brechner, a member of Congregation B’nai Amoona, is a senior product advisor at Evernorth. Rohlman, a freelance artist and musician, attends Central Reform Congregation.
