Harriet Kopolow is among the 12 who were honored at the 20th Ageless Remarkable St. Louisans Gala hosted by St. Andrew’s Resources Charitable Foundation.
This event recognizes adults ages 70 and older who make an impact through their philanthropy, volunteer work and professional contribution in the St. Louis area.
Kopolow, 80, made a lasting impact through her work with PreventEd and the Parkway Rockwood Adult Education and Literacy Program. As the creator of PreventEd’s Substance Use Prevention Program in 1980, she has helped it grow to serve over 60,000 students annually.
Despite retiring, Kopolow remains involved, contributing to program development and crisis intervention. Additionally, her commitment to ESL teaching has positively impacted numerous families, reflecting her passion for education and social justice.
