Yiddish storyteller featured at Brodsky Library event

Author and master Yiddish storyteller, Marek Halter, will speak at the Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library’s Annual Lazaroff Lecture at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31. Halter’s talk is titled, “The Jewish Odyssey – Four Millennia in One Lecture.” Author, academic and activist, Halter has published more than 20 books including “The Jewish Odyssey,” and “The Book of Abraham,” a New York Times bestseller. As a young child in 1940, Halter escaped with his family from the Warsaw ghetto. He is cofounder of an international committee for negotiated peace in the Middle East.

A reception and book signing will follow the lecture. The Lazaroff Lecture is funded by the Morris and Ann Lazaroff Endowment for the Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library.

The program will be held at the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive. Admission is $7 per person; free to Friends of the Library. RSVPs required by March 30.
