‘Winter Warm Up’ event offers families a chance to sample Jewish camps

St. Louis’ Reform congregations are planning a “Winter Warm Up” event from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12 at the Maryland Heights Center for all current and potential campers, grades 3-12. 

The event will include activities from Jewish overnight camps, including swimming (including a zip line, climbing wall and slides), gaga, s’mores and other camp favorites. The event also offers a chance to meet representatives from Camp Ben Frankel, Camp Nadav, Camp Sabra, GUCI (Goldman Union Camp Institute, Herzl Camp and Union for Reform Judaism’s 6 Points Academies (Creative Arts, Sci-Tech and Sports).
