Wife Widow Woman support group to commemorate 40th anniversary
Published April 7, 2016
The Jean Stein Bloch Wife Widow Woman support group has been helping recent widows through their grief for 40 years. To commemorate the milestone, the group will host a tea on Tuesday, May 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. The tea will take place at the National Council of Jewish Women office, 295 N. Lindbergh Blvd. Valet parking will be available. Anyone who has participated in the program, as participants, founders, board members or group leaders, is invited to attend.
The support group will honor Carole Simon for the time she has given the group as a facilitator, group coordinator and board member. Bobbie Ring will be honored for the many women she has helped as a group leader over the years. Sue Marcus and Helen Kornblum will be honored as founders of the program.
Although there is no charge to attend the tea, sponsorships are welcome. For more information about sponsorships, or to RSVP, please call Lisa at 314-993-5181 or email to [email protected] by April 20.
Rosalie Franklin and Charlotte Rosenbaum are chairs of the event. Bernard and Sally Stein have sponsored the program for many years and this year, Berger Memorial Chapel has begun a sponsorship as well.
