Irene Segoviano Mancera, daughter of Othon and Dalila Segoviano of Monterrey, Mexico, and Daniel Blair Fischer, son of Margie and Gary Sacks and Kenneth Fischer of St. Louis, Mo. and Los Angeles, Cal., have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of Gloria Diaz and Luiz Mancera of Mexico City, the late Magdelena Camarena and the late Mauro Segoviano of Guanajuato, Mexico.
He is the grandson of Betty and the late Boris Tureen, and the late Henrietta and the late Irv Fischer, all of St. Louis.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Monterrey where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is currently the legal representative for M & I Industries in Monterrey. Her fiance is a graduate of Ladue High School and the University of Wisconsin where he earned a B.A. degree in English and Spanish and the American University School of International Service where he earned a master’s of international affairs degree in economics. He is currently a metals trader with Shapiro Metals in St. Louis.
A spring 2008 wedding is planned.
ROVAK-GELFER
Anne Michele Rovak, daughter of Rick and Louise Rovak of Creve Coeur and Colin Guilbert Gelfer, son of George and Carol Gelfer of West Chester, Pa., have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of the late Marion and the late Barney Lebowitz of Chesterfield and Marie Rovak and the late Abe Rovak of Creve Coeur. He is the grandson of the late Genevieve and the late George Gelfer and Lillian and the late Robert Guilbert of Larchmont, N.Y.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she earned a B.S. degree in mass communication. She is currently a senior associate producer at The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago, Ill.
Her fiance graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a B.A. degree in political science. He is currently employed as a consultant with Perficient, Inc., in Chicago, Ill.
A June 2007 wedding is planned.
PRYWITCHS CELEBRATE 50 YEARS
Shirley and Marvin Prywitch celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 11, 2007 at Meadowbrook Country Club with their children, Richard (Audrey) Prywitch, Dr. Brett (Lynne) Prywitch and their grandchildren, Randy, Lauren, Jamie, Danny and Scott.
To further celebrate, in May the couple will tour Paris and London and return home on a six-day North Atlantic cruise aboard the Queen Mary 2.
