Used paperback sale set for June 1

A one-day Used Paperback Book Sale will take place in Steve’s Room at the Jewish Community Center’s Carlyn H. Wohl Building on Sunday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nearly all books will be priced at $1 each.

The giant, annual, week-long Used Book Sale at the JCC will open on Sunday, Aug. 10 ($10 entry fee on opening day only) and will run through Sunday, Aug. 17. Hours on the two Sundays: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday: (Half Price Book Day) 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; The sale is closed on Saturday, Aug. 16. The final Sunday is Bag Day on which buyers can fill as many plastic bags (supplied by the JCC) as they wish for $5 per bag.

The JCC will continue to collect used books, in good condition, through June for the August sale. We do not accept magazines, encyclopedia sets, Readers Digest Condensed Books or text books that are heavily marked up. Books on computers must be less than two years old. The donated books may be dropped off in the front lobby of the JCC — Wohl Building during regular hours.
