Upcoming Nishmah Salon discusses ‘Getting Dressed!’

Nishmah’s Salon Series will look at how women’s choice of dress corresponds with their identity, during “Getting Dressed!” — offered at four different times and locations April 6 and 7.

The series offers an opportunity for women of all ages to connect and engage with other women in meaningful discussion on topics of interest to us as Jewish women.  The salons will discuss Lilith Magazine’s article on “Getting Dressed!” in which four writers share the soundtrack running through their heads when they put themselves together in the morning. A link to the article will be shared upon registration.

All salons will discuss the same articles; participants should choose the time that works best for them:

• Wednesday, April 6, 12:30-2 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center in Creve Coeur, facilitated by Sara Winkelman. Feel free to bring a bagged lunch

• Wednesday April 6, 7-8:30 p.m. at United Hebrew, facilitated by Rabbi Roxanne Shapiro

• Wednesday April 6, 7:30-9 p.m. at NextDor, 5062 Waterman Blvd., facilitated by Nava Kantor

• Thursday, April 7, 7:30-9 p.m. at a private home in Clayton, facilitated by Michelle Rubin.

Private locations will be disclosed upon registration. The suggested donation for each salon is $15 ($5 suggested donation for young adults and students). Register online at nishmah.org or contact Nishmah Director Sara Winkelman at [email protected] or 314-442-3268.
