UPCOMING NA’AMAT starts Spiritual Adoption effort

NA’AMAT USA St. Louis Council will launch its annual Spiritual Adoption Campaign on June 10 with a phonathon. This year’s campaign focuses on children of economically disadvantaged families in Israel to assure them a place in one of NA’AMAT’s daycare centers.

NA’AMAT’S Daycare Center Program has served as a model for the Head Start Program here in the U.S. and for other pre-school programs throughout the world.

In over 900 classes scattered over Israel, more than 26,000 children of working parents of new immigrant families andchildren from low-income families are given the best of care in a loving, worry-free environment.

A professional staff provides the tools needed to help develop the children’s emotional security and educational skills.

Participation in the program enables NA’AMAT to take in all those children who need daycare. For $360 a year, or about $1 a day, anyone can adopt an Israeli child and help make sure that no child will be turned away.

NA’AMAT USA has new groups forming. Annual dues are $25. Life memberships are $250.
