U.City Shul holds ‘Weekend to Laugh and Learn’
Published March 9, 2011
Author, lecturer, jazz musician and stand up comic Rabbi Tzvi Gluckin will be at U. City Shul March 11-13 to present its “Weekend To Laugh and Learn.” The weekend begins with a Friday night Shabbat dinner followed by a lecture at 8 p.m., “When You’re in Love, the Whole World is Jewish.”
“A Funny Thing Happened on the Way From Mt. Sinai” is the topic Saturday night exploring the foundations of the Jewish people becoming a nation. A special dessert reception and jazz music will follow.
Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Rabbi Gluckin will continue his weekend theme of “Laugh and Learn” as he presents the famous Bible Codes (interesting facts on what distinguishes the Jews and Judaism from every other religion in the world, and compelling data about who authored the Torah). Rabbi Gluckin combines information with humor to make the learning experience one to remember. To make reservations or for more information, call 314-863-SHUL (7485) or go to www.ucityshul.org. Babysitting is available by reservation.
