‘Tzedek’ to screen at Holocaust Museum

The Holocaust Museum and Learning Center’s Sandra and Mendel Rosenberg free monthly film series will screen the St. Louis premiere of “Tzedek-The Righteous, Part One,” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27 in the HMLC theater at the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building. Director and Holocaust survivor Marek Halter sought out “righteous among the nations,” asking them, “Why did you save Jews?” The range of responses is the focus of this 80-minute powerful documentary. The film, in various languages, will be presented with English subtitles.
Introductory remarks and a post-screening discussion will be presented by Neal M. Sokol, who served as senior researcher for Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation and is the author of several books on Jewish culture and the Holocaust.
