Traditional Congregation hosts scholar-in-residence weekend

Traditional Congregation’s 2017 Scholar-in-Residence program: “Putting the ‘Olam’ Back into Tikkun Olam” with Dr. Jeremy Benstein, co-founder of the Heschel Center for Sustainability in Tel Aviv. The community is invited to join us for an informative and enlightening weekend of events.
• On Friday, Feb. 10, Kabbalat Shabbat services begin at 5:45 p.m., and will be followed at 6:30 by a full-course Shabbat dinner and Benstein’s remarks about his personal journey. There is no charge for first-time visitors to Traditional (others are $15/person).
• On Saturday, Feb. 11, Shabbat services begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a kiddush luncheon. Benstein will discuss “The Tree of Life and the Life of Trees: The Secrets of Tu B’Shevat.” Free.
• On Sunday, Feb. 12, join us at 9:45 a.m. for brunch, followed at 10:45 a.m. by Benstein’s talk on “Innovation and Sustainability: The View from Israel.” Free for Traditional members, and $12 per person for non-members.
